I recently went there for my first ever eye exam. And wow… it was an experience I must say. The doctor was lovely and nice. She was extremely caring and respectful of my space and made sure I was comfortable with every step, to my glasses journey. I will just say overall if you think you need glasses and you’re looking for a doctor any of them at Metro Eye is the best way to go.

I’ve been to eye doctors in several cities and Metro Eye is BY FAR the best. Every one is very friendly and kind, the doctors are professional and thorough, the machinery is modern, they have a large selection of frames and (again) the people who work there are just really wonderful. You’re treated like a person, not just a customer. I cannot recommend a better place to get your eyes treated or glasses purchased.

I have been seeing Dr. Jankowski since she opened her practice on Water Street. I trust her completely with my eye health. She’s my favorite optometrist ever, and I’ve worn glasses for over 60 years. She hires the best and trains her staff to be professional and friendly. Just the best!

I have been a patient at Metro eye for a few years. I recently had another annual eye exam. I am again impressed with Dr. Amy, the office and the staff. Thorough, personable and informative! I get a quality visit that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. I have already recommended Dr. Amy and Metro Eye to my family and if you are considering becoming a patient here do it! I come from the suburbs, there is a parking garage and they validate the ticket. It’s super easy to get to the office. Furthermore they provide exceptional assistance in choosing frames and fitting for comfort. 5 stars but would give them 10 if I could.

I’ve been living with keratoconus for the better part of 20 years. I’ve had glasses, contacts and surgeries. Been told that my vision would be fixed with procedures, only to have them unable to correct my vision. It got to the point where I honestly thought about just giving up, and living in a blurry world for the rest of my life.
I had previously gone in for an eye exam at metro a few years prior, and heard the same thing I had heard before, that they would be able to fix my vision. But the professionalism and their commitment to eye health made me come back and make the plunge for scleral lenses. From the moment I walked in for my first appointment to today, took about 2 weeks, and I can see now. Not just sort of make things out, I can read, see peoples faces and see definition in the world for the first time in decades. The kind folks at metro eye literally changed my life. The fitment process was thorough, they answered all the questions I had about the lenses and care, and helped me through with a contact that I can wear all day with 0 discomfort and perfect vision.
If you have keratoconus and are struggling to find a good optometrist to help you navigate, metro eye is the place. I cannot thank Jayme and Dr. Amanda enough for their help. This was an outcome that I did not believe was possible, but they have “opened my eyes” and now I can live my life with razor sharp vision.

Dr. Jankowski is the best eye Dr! She is very knowledgeable, and really takes the time to make sure you have the best options available. All of the technicians and front desk staff are super friendly and welcoming. The space is modern and fresh, unlike most other eye clinics.
