Full-time Optician
Metro Eye, a privately-owned optometric practice and eyewear boutique in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, is seeking an experienced Optician to join our team. We have provided Metro Milwaukee with state-of-the-art eye care and designer eyewear for the past 20 years.
Metro Eye’s state-of-the-art medical eye care facility is home to Milwaukee’s most dynamic designer eyewear boutique, offering the latest frame and lens technologies in the Historic Third Ward neighborhood. We are an office where a third of the staff averages 9+ years at Metro Eye, a third averages 3+ years and the rest is part of a growing office with the latest eye health technology and forward-thinking leadership! Our approach to the eyewear buying experience is different than most. Our sales opticians are highly trained to fit and style customers all while educating them on ways to meet their visual needs and wants. The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following criteria:
- Must have at least 1 year experience in the optical industry
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Well organized and thoroughgoing
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize
- Exemplary computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Superior product knowledge and desire to continue learning
- Able to maintain a polished appearance
- Energetic, team player and motivated
