On June 5th, 2003, Dr. Amy Jankowski officially opened the doors of Metro Eye with the mission to combine the city’s finest professional eye care with an unparalleled collection of customizable designer eyewear. Fueled by her fervent commitment to eye care, Dr. Amy has grown Metro Eye into a multi-specialty practice and continues to invest in relevant technology and staff training to deliver a level of service that exceeds patient expectations.

Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward has been an ever-inspiring location for Metro Eye. When Dr. Amy and other venturous businesses first opened in the Ward two decades ago, they were taking a big chance. Those galleries, boutiques, restaurants and professional service businesses have shaped the Third Ward into Milwaukee’s showcase mixed-use district.
Since opening in 2003, Dr. Amy has assembled an incredible team of Optometrists and support staff. As a result, Metro Eye has been able to expand its services and continue to invest in new technology and treatment strategies to not only provide comprehensive vision exams, but treat and manage ocular diseases such as advanced dry eye, progressing myopia, glaucoma, macular degeneration and binocular vision disorders.
Metro Eye’s team is considerably more than just its doctors.The team is composed of Optometric Technicians who continuously update their education and training, Opticians and Optical Stylists who keep the Third Ward stylish with cutting edge eyewear, and the Administrative team who go above and beyond to facilitate insurance and billing for ease and convenience of all patients. Together, the Metro Eye staff strives to deliver the best experience for every patient, tailored to their personal needs.
