March is Save Your Vision Month and a great time to focus on the things we can’t see, such as glaucoma or cataracts. Many people think that since their vision is clear they don’t need to see an eye doctor. What they don’t know is often eye diseases can develop and not produce symptoms before it’s too late.
After age 40, getting a standard, yearly eye exam is no longer enough to keep your eyes healthy. The American Optometric Association recommends that a comprehensive eye disease screening is also scheduled. Many eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma start developing at this time, and early detection is crucial for diagnosing and treatment.
Schedule an appointment at Metro Eye for your yearly exam and eye disease screening with Dr. Jankowski.
Though it is recommended for the screening at age 40, if there is a history of eye disease in your family or you have any problems with your vision, be sure to come in sooner.
Dr. Jankowski is accepting new patients at Metro Eye’s new location: 325 East Chicago Street in Milwaukee’s Third Ward.
