Amy is Wearing the new Relax Lens

Shamir Relax™ – no, it’s not a lens infused with caffeine and it doesn’t come with a lifetime supply of coffee either.  But it does ease the strain normally associated with prolonged accommodation. If you spend the majority of your work day reading or using a computer to complete tasks, the muscles in your eyes are constantly working to focus on these near and mid-range objects, ultimately resulting in visual fatigue.

The Relax lens incorporates extra ADD Power in the lower part of the lens, so the eye muscles don’t have to work as hard at accommodation. It’s a single vision fatigue relief lens that relieves strain on the eye muscles and leaves you feeling more energized and refreshed at the end of the day.

You may recognize this smiling face at our front desk. Amy is one of the first of our employees here at Metro Eye to try out the new Relax lens. She gave us some feedback that we would like to pass along to you.

“My prescription is pretty much all astigmatism and when I wear my glasses with my old prescription, everything is very clear. I started noticing however, that while I am on the computer, after a few hours, I was getting really bad headaches and eye strain.

I tried taking off my glasses while I was at the computer, but that still put strain on my eyes and it took me a longer amount of time to read things – especially in formats like spreadsheets and things in small print.

After getting the Relax lens, I am able to wear my glasses all day – seeing clearly both for distance and up close. It is really nice for me since I am on the computer ALLLL day. It really lives up to its name because my eyes actually feel more relaxed while reading and on the computer. The only downside is that I feel older. But the upside is that I feel smarter and it doesnt take me 20 minutes to read a spreadsheet.”
