Believe it or not, spring is quickly approaching. Even though warm weather doesn’t seem possible after this winter, let these Spring Eyewear Trends brighten up this never ending weather. Whether you’re a sparkling diva, a hippie at heart, or a west coast wannabe, this year’s Spring Eyewear Trends have something for everyone.
The Retro Look
Social media inspired, you’ll notice this spring that many sunglasses will have a faded lens that transforms your scenery into a sepia-like world, just like an Instagram filter. Optical and sunwear materials and silhouettes are reminiscent of the yesteryears. Wooden frames and tortoise prints will begin to make a comeback as well. Can you dig it?
The Geometric Look
You’ll know it when you see it. Expect to spot optics that have triangular and hexagonal lenses with an emphasis on the “brow bar”. Frames will have sharp angular shapes that are very bold. This look may lack in elegance, but will go out of its way to make a statement.
The Beach Goer Look
Some of this year’s designers were inspired by the colors of the ocean: blues, turquoises, and teals. Like the fluid movement of the ocean, frames will have a “floating lens” look with light textures and colors such as stone grays, sea greens, and sandy whites.
The Butterfly Look
Just as easy as it is to spot a bright beautiful butterfly, you’ll be able to spot the strong, bright, saturated tones of every spring color on lenses and frames. If you like making a statement with colors and sparkles, this look is for you. Eyewear will feature whimsical butterfly-shaped silhouettes, floral embellishments, and jaw-dropping over sized frames and cat-eyes.
