The New Year means tons of new eyewear trends are coming our way! So the first big question of the year is, what’s going to be the hottest eyewear trend of the year?
Our money is on clear frames. Many of our favorite eyewear designers came out with clear frames late in 2016 and it seems the trend is catching on. We’ve already seen clear frames from SALT optics, Etnia Barcelona, and Entourage of 7 just to name a few. We see more designers adding clear frames to their lineup through the year, for both eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Why clear frames? For starters, clear frames give off a lightweight and simple look, while looking super modern. Perhaps the biggest advantage of clear frames is their versatility. No matter what frame shape suits your face the best, you’ll likely find it in a clear frame. So folks with round glasses or square glasses can still get on trend with a sleek modern look.
Don’t forget about the color! Clear frames also lend themselves to a little color. We expect to see clear frames with small touches of color to give off a smoked color, like these beautiful frames from Etnia Barcelona and Lafont.
