Dedee McClone transformed her profession from fashion sales to optical styling in 1988, when she realized that the technology of optics would encourage her love of fashion to flourish more than ever. To further advance her understanding of optical science and frame fabrication, Dedee mastered the technical components of optics to earn certification from the American Board of Opticianry in 2011, and hopes to observe the adept custom frame sculptors in action at the Tom Davies frame manufactory in London.
The frame that has earned a special place in Dedee’s heart is a Lafont style named ‘Geisha,’ which bursts with dauntless character almost as much as she does, while ardently celebrating her eternally beloved leopard print.
