Dr. Ellen Ringle

Dr. Ellen Ringle graduated with a degree in Nutrition Science from UW-Madison and earned her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Vision Science, which has helped her understand the bridge between research and clinical practice to stay on the cutting edge of the evolving field of optometry.

Growing up, Dr. Ringle struggled with a vision condition called amblyopia. Through her frequent visits, she developed a close relationship with her eye doctor — which ultimately inspired her passion for optometry. She strives to help children and adults with complex visual needs to achieve their best vision!

During her optometric training, Dr. Ringle served patients at the VA in Bend, Oregon, providing care for ocular disease and low vision. She also trained in surgical co-management at Spivack Vision Center in Denver, CO and in primary care at the US Air Force Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs.
She now lives in Bay View and loves spending time near beautiful Lake Michigan. She enjoys playing tennis, cycling, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Ringle is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Wisconsin Optometric Association.
