On June 5th, 2003 Dr. Amy Jankowski and Luanne Labonte officially opened the doors of Metro Eye, and have built upon their commitment to exceptional eye care every day since.
While preparing to celebrate Metro Eye’s 15th Anniversary this month, Dr. Amy reflected upon the exciting journey that these years have unfolded and beheld her gratitude towards the shared passion for eye health within her patients and the community.

The Historic Third Ward has blossomed with vitality since Amy and Luanne began expertly examining eyes and fitting designer eyewear in the neighborhood, and Metro Eye has grown exponentially within its dynamic setting. With the development of our state-of-the-art Ocular Surface Disease Clinic, and Dr. Amanda Kopczyk, and her establishment of the Specialty Contact Lens Clinic, Metro Eye currently offers a myriad of pioneering ocular assessments and treatments that reach light years beyond reading the eye chart.
While the demand for a broadening variety of fashion trends expanded, as did the number of local eyewear enthusiasts who appreciate extraordinary customer service, Luanne formed a team of masterful optical stylists to uphold Metro Eye’s unparalleled standards of quality, precision and client consideration. As Metro Eye’s staff continually challenges conventional thinking, in regards to achieving and maintaining optimal vision and ocular health for the Milwaukee area, they also marvel at their patients’ equaled exuberance towards an evolving and innovative approach to eyecare.
